NJ Therapist for teenagers online and in-Person
Something Shifted in Your Teen.
Let's Figure Out What.
What looks like attitude is often anxiety wearing a mask. What looks like withdrawal is often a teen who hasn’t found the right words yet.
I work as a therapist for teenagers online and in person, supporting teens across New Jersey where they can open up safely and begin to make sense of what they’re feeling.

What's Going on Under the Surface
These are the specific patterns and struggles I work through with teenagers in our sessions.
This Is What's PossibleA Teen Who Stops Shrinking and Starts Showing Up
Steady in the Hard Moments
They still feels things deeply but now they have tools. The overwhelm doesn't take over the same way, and they know how to come back to themselves when it starts to build.
More Connected, Less Alone
The walls that kept people out were also keeping them in. As they learn to communicate what's real, their relationships with you, with friends, and with themselves start to shift.
A Voice They Actually Trust
The inner critic gets quieter. The confidence that was always there but buried starts to come through. They start making choices from a place of 'I can handle this' instead of 'I'd better not try.'
The work we do isn't just about getting through the hard moment.
It's about building something that lasts.
A teen who can name what they're feeling before it takes over.
Who has words instead of walls.
Who trusts themselves enough to show up, even when things feel uncertain.
That's what this work is actually for.
Real Answers. No Runaround.
If you're sitting with questions before you reach out, here are the ones I hear most.
-
Not necessarily. Resistance is common and expected. In our consultation we can talk through what your teen knows about coming in and how to frame it in a way that feels less threatening. Most teens who come in skeptical leave the first session willing to come back.
-
Confidentiality is a core part of the therapeutic relationship and your teen needs to trust that what they share stays in the room. I'll keep you informed about their overall progress and will always loop you in if there's a safety concern. We'll discuss the specifics of how that works during our consultation.
-
You're an important part of this process. While sessions are your teen's space, I'll keep you informed about progress and may occasionally recommend ways to support the work at home. We'll find the right balance together.
-
Fit matters. Especially with teenagers. My approach is direct, relaxed, and anything but clinical. I meet teens where they are, not where adults think they should be. That makes a difference.
-
I work with teenagers navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social struggles, emotional regulation, and communication challenges. If your teen has withdrawn, shut down, or changed in ways that concern you, that's exactly where we start.
-
You'll start to notice it at home. More openness. Fewer explosive moments. A teen who communicates instead of shuts down. Progress isn't always linear but it shows up in real life, not just in session.

In-Person Sessions
S.C. Healing Haven is located in Millburn, NJ, serving teens and families throughout Union County and surrounding New Jersey communities. Some teens do their best work face to face in a dedicated space that exists completely outside of school, home, and everything in between. If that's your teen, the door is open.
Virtual Sessions
For families across New Jersey who need flexibility, virtual sessions are available through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. No commute, no waiting room, no scheduling around after-school activities. Your teen joins from wherever feels most comfortable.
WHEN YOU'RE READYThey don't have to have the words. I'll help Your Teen find them.
When you're ready to take the first step, I'm ready to meet you both exactly where you are.
This is a low-key first step.
